Sharon Pentecostal Church
Sharon Pentecostal Church was founded by Rev. P.J. Thomas in Kerala, India, during the early 1950s. While teaching Comparative Religion at Wheaton College in the United States, Rev. Thomas felt a divine calling to return to India. He settled in Thiruvalla, Kerala, after purchasing property that would become the Sharon compound. Over time, members who had emigrated to the United Kingdom sought a more structured organization and fellowship.
The Sharon Pentecostal Church UK began with a small group of believers at the 2006 Sharon Conference of United Kingdom Keralites. They prayed and decided to establish Sharon Pentecostal Churches in various UK cities to glorify God. The mission of SFCUK is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20) through evangelism, church planting, missionary work, and the promotion of charitable and educational activities both in the UK and internationally. Currently, there are SFCUK-affiliated churches across the United States as well.
